ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Rum. Rukn al-Din Sulayman II, AH 592-600 / AD 1196-1204. Fals (Bronze, 31 mm, 7.47 g, 11 h), AH 595 = AD 1198/9. Within a dotted circle, horseman advancing to right, holding a mace in his right hand; star to left. Rev. Within a dotted circle, ‘al-sulṭān al-qāhir / Sulaymān ibn / Qilij Arslān’ (‘The omnipotent sultan Sulayman son of Qilij Arslan’ in Arabic); around, ‘ḍuriba fī / sana khams / wa tisʿīn / wa khamsa miʾa’ (‘Struck in the year 595’ in Arabic). Album 1205.2. Some areas of weakness and with minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
